Digital Marketing Officer
Reporting to: supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion across online channels, including social media, search engines, email, and websites.
- Manage digital marketing budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and allocating resources effectively to achieve marketing objectives and maximize ROI.
- Conducting market research and defining key performance indicators for each communications channel.
- Organizing PR initiatives
- Manage digital advertising campaigns, including pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, display ads, and retargeting campaigns, optimizing ad spend, targeting parameters, and creative assets to achieve campaign objectives and ROI goals.
- Manage social media accounts and communities, developing content calendars, scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring conversations to build brand loyalty, foster engagement, and drive traffic to owned assets.
- Uphold brand guidelines, messaging consistency, and legal compliance in all digital marketing activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, privacy policies, and ethical standards.
- Increasing brand awareness and market share
- Create and curate compelling content for digital channels, including social media posts, blog articles, videos, infographics, and email newsletters, aligning content with audience preferences, SEO keywords, and marketing objectives.
- Optimize website performance and user experience (UX), conducting website audits, analyzing traffic data, and implementing SEO best practices, technical improvements, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Implement email marketing campaigns, creating targeted email lists, designing email templates, writing compelling copy, and analyzing campaign metrics to optimize open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies, continuously learning, and experimenting with new tools, platforms, and tactics to innovate and improve digital marketing performance.
- Support in product launches through promotional activities including campaigns, advertisement etc.
- Develop Promotion and marketing collaterals for various Bank’s products and campaigns.
- Design, build and maintain our social media presence.
- Content creation to establish a strong connection with our customers.
- Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
- Ensure policies and procedures are in place, updated and adhered to in day-to-day operations.
- Attend to audit (internal and external) queries related to Marketing
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals including impact on lead flow and retention.
- Provide regular reports, presentations, and insights to senior management and key stakeholders, summarizing digital marketing performance, highlighting successes, and recommending strategic adjustments or optimizations.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement metrics, conversion rates, and ROI, using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and partners, such as advertising agencies, graphic designers, and influencers, to support digital marketing campaigns and initiatives as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, influencers, bloggers, and media contacts, leveraging partnerships and collaborations to expand reach and amplify brand messaging.
- Receive, compile, and consolidate invoices received and expenditures relating to advertising, promotions, and sponsorships for approval and payment.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and drive decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Academic /Professional Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field.
Working Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on content creation and social media management. Experience working in the banking or financial services industry is a significant advantage.
