Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Stock Manager to oversee and manage our inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of stock management processes, including setting up and optimizing inventory systems to ensure the smooth movement of stock across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stock management systems to track and monitor inventory levels effectively.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in inventory records.
• Analyze stock movement patterns to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast stock requirements and place orders accordingly.
• Implement systems to streamline stock handling processes, including storage and distribution.
• Train and supervise staff involved in stock management activities.
• Monitor key metrics related to inventory performance and prepare reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in stock handling and storage.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in stock management, inventory control, or a related field.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and tools, with experience in system setup and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
• Familiarity with wholesale or retail operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in stock management within the food wholesale or supermarket industry.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and logistics processes.
• Certification in inventory management or supply chain management is an advantage.
• Responsible for managing store operations, including recording inventory, receiving stock, and issuing items according to orders.
• Must understand the principles of effectively organizing stock during receiving and issuing processes.
