The Company

The East African Development Bank (EADB) was established in 1967 with the remit to provide financial related support to its member states which currently are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. The EADB has a country office in each of the member states.

The Accountant is responsible to capture and process all general payments from user departments and making payments to suppliers, ensure timely processing of money market/treasury transactions through SWIFT. The incumbent is expected to process the full cycle of asset leasing and trade finance transactions.

Key Qualification and Experience

The successful candidate must have minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an accounting function in a busy firm/banking industry.
S/he should have a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, finance or accounting from a recognized university, and professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CPA, CFA.
The candidate should have proven hands-on experience in the command of computer software applications such as Oracle Financials, FLEXCUBE and other computerized accounting packages.
