We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team in Zanzibar. This is a Full-Time position with the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
Record daily financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and report variances.
Monitor hotel revenues (rooms, food & beverage, events).
Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
Oversee cash handling, banking, and reconciliations.
Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
