Job Summary:
Position: Bartender
Reports to: Lodge Manager
Bartenders are on the front line of the service industry, preparing drinks, entertaining, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests. Maintaining bar stock control and keeping daily consumption records are essential to the bartender’s
Responsibilities.
- Demonstrates Company’s Standards in all interactions
- To report on duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards
- To promote and maintain a positive working relationship with all the Colleagues in the lodge.
- To consistently offer professional, friendly and warm service
- Serves drinks and bar snacks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
- Attends to the detail and presentation of each order
- Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
- Coordinates daily supply inventory for the bar and submits daily requisition orders to supervisors before restocking the bar.
- Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed. Assists with orienting new employees to their work area.
- Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
- Ensures adherence to the lodge's Code of conduct
- Reports intoxicated behaviors to the immediate supervisor
- Willing to participate in any in-house training programs in connection with your position
- Complete other tasks as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Position Requirements:
- Previous experience in bartending or being able to demonstrate knowledge of and skill in the ability to safely and effectively operate standard beverage service equipment
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation, and advanced communication skills Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), a second language is an asset
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours.
- Must be physically fit.
- Understanding of the responsibilities involved with handling and serving alcoholic beverages

- Experience in stocktaking and stock management will be considered a plus
- Certifications from Safe-Food Handling courses will be considered a plus
