The Chief Credit Officer (CCO) will report directly to the Managing Director and will be instrumental in overseeing credit risk, ensuring portfolio quality, managing credit analysis, administration, recovery processes, and maintaining compliance with both internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of the credit function, ensuring strict adherence to Microfinance Regulations.
Develop, implement, and rigorously enforce credit policies, robust underwriting standards, and effective portfolio quality control measures.
Oversee all aspects of credit appraisal, loan approvals, loan portfolio performance, collections, and recovery operations.
Manage digital lending platforms and a diverse array of loan financing products, including microfinance, SME loans, retail loans, and secured lending.
Monitor portfolio risk comprehensively, including PAR (Portfolio at Risk), NPLs (Non-Performing Loans), provisioning, and regulatory reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Master’s degree or professional qualification (CPA/ CFA) is an added advantage
Minimum 10 (Ten) years’ experience in credit management, with at least five (5) years in senior management level
Proven experience in regulated microfinance and digital lending operations
