We are looking for an experienced, driven site engineer with a wealth of industry knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data such as survey reports, long-range plans, and maps to plan projects effectively.
- Plan each stage of a project and conduct risk analysis.
- Consider the cost of construction, possible hazards to the environment, government regulations, and other necessary factors.
- Ensure that projects adhere to various regulations and gather and submit permit applications to relevant government agencies, including local, state, and federal governments.
- Coordinate the soil testing process to ensure the soil is suitable for the structure and that the foundation has the necessary strength.
- Test asphalt, concrete, steel, and other building materials to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Determine the economic feasibility of a project by estimating production costs, including equipment, materials, and labor.
- Apply design software in planning and designing hydraulic and transportation systems and structures following established government and industry standards.
- Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner.
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and others).
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems or deficiencies.
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
- Handle the resulting structures and services for use.
- Monitor progress and compile reports on project status.
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc., and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
- A professional engineer, registered in the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
- 2 years’ experience in civil construction.
- Proven working experience in civil engineering (buildings, roads/highways, towers).
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
- Project management and supervision skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- License of professional engineer.
- Attach any training skills (rope rigging, fall arrest, medical, etc.).
