The Robert Gallo Maternal Aids Healthcare Initiatives is a leading non-profit organization working to improve the health care of 2.5 million mothers infected with HIV in Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Brazil, Guatemala, India and Sri Lanka. Working together with national partners to strengthen health systems and community capacities, we are committed to scientific evidence and policy dialogue both as foundations and objectives of our work
The Community worker assumes a pivotal role in the coordination and implementation of the outreach services through a mobile health van. The Boresha Afya Project in Tanzania will support the local health authorities to provide health care in a culturally appropriate way to the hard-to-reach population through mobile clinic and outreach activities, combined with interventions to strengthen facility-based quality of care to ensure a continuum of care is established.
