Credit Manager
About the Role
HR World Ltd on behalf of our client, is seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the sound creditworthiness of corporate clients, contributing to the growth and profitability of the loan portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review corporate credit appraisals and recommendations for credit applications, identifying any missing documentation or information. Ensure applications adhere to established credit policies and procedures.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of both financial and non-financial data for corporate customers to assess the risk associated with extending credit or lending funds.
- Compare the liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of evaluated establishments with similar businesses within the same industries and geographical locations.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of credit applications received from branches and the decisions made. Ensure meticulous loan tracking aligns with credit policies and procedures.
- Regularly visit customer businesses to gain a deeper understanding of their operations, assess the viability of their enterprises, and enhance the bank's perception of the client.
- Conduct periodic inspections of customer collaterals to verify their existence and quality.
- Actively participate in internal meetings that review and identify opportunities for process improvement, resulting in more focused and efficient credit procedures.
- Provide valuable consultation to relationship managers and offer appropriate guidance to ensure the onboarding of high-quality businesses and adherence to all bank policies and procedures, including compliance with KYC and Money Laundering Policies.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the line manager that contribute to the bank's business operations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Banking or Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university. Professional qualifications like CPA (T) and CPB are highly valued.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with a leading organization and a strong understanding of the bank's major business development channels, including trade finance, corporate and project finance, export development, asset financing, and syndication.
- Proven capability and experience in structuring complex credit solutions for corporate clients.
