Job Type: Full-Time
Closing Date: 30th October 2023
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Position: Data Manager

Organization: Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU)

About MITU:

The Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) was established in 2006 by the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), with initial funding from the UK Medical Research Council (MRC). The Unit was created to build on the longstanding and highly successful research collaboration in Mwanza between the two institutions, which began in the late 1980s during the rapid expansion of the HIV epidemic in East Africa. Mwanza was selected as a site for HIV prevention research due to its lower HIV prevalence at the time, providing an opportunity for impactful research on the epidemic's development. The presence of a major NIMR research centre in Mwanza provided a strong and well-established base for this collaboration. For more information, visit MITU's website.
