Context:
The Barefoot College is a not for profit, grassroots, Social Enterprise that creates pathways to build more sustainable, self-sufficient and resilient rural communities while valuing and respecting the knowledge and wisdom they already possess. Through the Enriche program, Barefoot College invests in rural women as agents of sustainable change. It gives them the opportunity to embark on an empowerment journey; a journey to gain the confidence, skills, and knowledge they need to reach their full potential and to fulfill their aspirations. The Enriche curriculum modules include Financial Inclusion, Micro-Enterprise Skills, Women Health, Aspiration and Agency, Environmental Stewardship, Livelihood Skills, Human, Legal & Civil Rights, and Digital Skills.
Barefoot College opened its first Regional Vocational Training Center for East Africa in Zanzibar in 2015. Located in Kinyasini-Kibokwa, this place of learning and unlearning delivers training targeting women on solar electrification and Enriche activities.

Mission summary
The Enriche Coordinator will be responsible to overview, manage and develop the Enriche program regionally, providing support to the Enriche facilitators and livelihood coordinators.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Enriche Coordinator will be undertaking the following responsibilities:
- Define the strategy to reach the objectives of the program regionally,
- Facilitate training and build local capacity in training delivery,
- Overview, monitor and assess the program implementation regionally,
- Manage financial resources (budgets, expense report, consolidated financial report),
- Develop strategic partnerships with local NGOs and CBOs,
- Participate in fundraising efforts, with a focus on local foundations and CSR opportunities,
- Collect data, Analyse the results, Evaluate the impact of the program with regards to each project specific objectives and write all activities report for corresponding stakeholders,
- Research and learn to continually improve the program in supporting women
- Participate in the design of digital teaching aids and material with audio-visual content
- Liaison with all stakeholders including donors, government, partners, and other teams
- Train potential partners on the Enriche approach, methodology, and strategy.
- Coordinate with other NGOs / CBOs the field implementation of Enriche related activities
Qualification required and experience:
LANGUAGES: Fluent spoken & written Kiswahili and English language skills essential, additional languages competencies are beneficial.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office skills essential, including Excel, Word, and Ppt at an advanced level; Communication tools and social media.
COMPETENCIES:
- Passion for learning, unlearning and re-learning in areas related to women empowerment;
- Enthusiastic about creating learning experiences for rural women using participative and engaging teaching methods;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to manage programs at various level (HR, Financial and Operational management);
- Ability to lead a team and take decisions on the strategy in the view to deliver on objectives;
- Self-starter, ability to work alone as well as in a team;
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized while coordinating multiple projects;
- Creativity and Can Do attitude to work in challenging situations;
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders (beneficiaries, rural community, partners, & donors).
