Norges Vel is a Tanzanian organization established by the Royal Norwegian society for development, a non-profit, NGO, NV-TZ provides technical and financial assistance to smallholder farmers, entrepreneurs and partner organizations. NV-TZ strives to build vigorous local societies through tools of business development within agriculture, aquaculture, and renewable energy.
Norges Vel is looking to employ an Executive assistant for their office in Dar es Salaam. The ideal candidate will:
- Have a degree in accounting, or business administration, or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, accounting software - preferably QuickBooks
- Excellent, written, and oral English and Kiswahili communication skills
- In possession of a driver's license
- Have exemplary organization skills. A high level of integrity and ability to work independently and within a team
- Understanding of sustainable development, and business mindedness
Main Tasks:
- Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner. Prepare and process statutory taxes
- Prepare all accounting supporting documents for organisations accountant
- Purchase supplies, services, equipment, as per the resident representative's requirement
- Reconciliation of accounts, maintaining of petty cash, maintaining of documentation for electronic payments to suppliers in a timely manner
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the resident representative
