We are recruiting a Head of Operations.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure a smooth workflow of our day-to-day operations of drivers and airport operations by successfully leading and managing our Operations and Transport team.
The Role
Key work areas include, but are not limited to:
- Planning & Booking Management (ensure daily transfers, coordinate drivers)
- Managing our Operations staff (team of drivers, transport managers, fuel controllers)
- Managing our fleet (maintenance, repairs, record-keeping)
- Being the Key contact for international clients for operational matters
- Assistance with Groups & VIP
- Site Supervision
Required Experience & Skills
- International Tourism Degree, Masters or similar
- 10 years of successfully leading and managing a team
- 5-8 years of work experience in Operations, preferably in the travel industry
- Fluent in English, written and verbally (any additional European language beneficial)
- Strong skills in Reservation systems and Microsoft Office
- Team Player
- Self-driven, passionate & dedicated to get things done
- A pragmatic thinker with the orientation to detail
- Ability to live on an island in Africa
- Work experience in Africa preferred
