MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for amongst other things finance, logistics, assets, data management and general coordination of non-clinical MOH operations and SHE.
JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for the preparation, management, and control of Tshs. 800-950 million annual medical budget.
- Responsible for the daily accounting transactions and documents such as approval of the invoices and cash expenditures.
- Participates in the administration of partner funds such as preparation of work plans, budgets, and accountability.
- Responsible for the compilation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Initiates and controls capital expenditure for hospital facilities, machines, and equipment.
- Responsible for the procurement of all hospital merchandise such as drugs, reagents, food supplies, machines, and equipment.
- Monitor the usage of hospital consumables through the monthly tracking system.
- Responsible for the processing of payments to suppliers through verification and approvals of the relevant documentation such as invoices and delivery notes.
- Manage and control the recruitment of medical staff.
- Responsible for the dissemination of information to staff within the department through departmental meetings, in-house training, and workshops.
- Responsible for the personnel establishment, employee records and leaves management within the department.
- Responsible for verification and approval of payroll records for employees’ salaries and wages.
- Responsible for the performance management and development of any direct reports.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Medicine, Medical and Occupational Health/ Public Health, Business Management, Social Sciences or any other business-related field or equivalent experience
- Preferably at least 5 years experience in a senior administrative position
