Airtel Tanzania PLC wishes to recruit for an IT - Manager Mobile Money Technology Integrations and Business Reporting . The role reports to the IT Director in IT Department.
He/ She will be responsible to manages the Responsible for Managing all aspects planned and adhoc reporting needs of Business and partners.
Providing leadership/direction in initiation, managing and resolve technological matters arising from Business, Government authorities and third-party partners in the form of implementing technological solutions and maintaining them operationally in Airtel Money, PRETUPS, MIS, TRA and TCRA dimensions. With the consultation of other stakeholders, the resources will ensure, the provided and maintained solutions are compliant with the internal security policy, governing laws, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Role Holder’s duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Manage All reporting aspect of the Business ;
- Responsibly managing all aspects of business reporting throughout all departments, systems applications and partners
- Extracting needed reports daily as well as adhoc reports for business decision making, this involves interacting with database systems on a daily basis.
- Making sure that reports are delivered with maximum correctness and in a timely manner within agreed SLAs.
- Reporting server’s administration and maintaining data mining and OLAP.
- Designing SQL scripts for report automation.
- Providing better and easier reporting on major business incidents.
- Provide detailed analysis and deep dive reports on any issues reported by business regarding any key performance indicator numbers example revenue, revenue earning customers (REC) etc.
- Running dashboards on system status of all reports to Airtel local and group management report.
- Making sure that all needed files are received from network to mediation staging server and in turn received at BI end hence working closely with other teams on issues concerning file transfers and delays.
- Designing the best reporting solutions for business for better analytics.
- Perform Daily, Weekly BI and TRA reconciliation.
- Working with RA and Finance Team to Insure TRA and BI reports are correct
- Responsible for All Billers, MFS O&M
- Responsible Standard and Non Standard Integration
- MFS and AM Security and Operation Management
- Manage and Operate IT NOC
2. Drive AM IT strategy for the country to ensure Alignment to AM Business and to Group Strategy;
- Work with AM Partner, ensure the definition of a comprehensive AM IT roadmap that addresses current and future technology needs (infrastructure and applications) of Airtel Tanzania AM that is aligned with overall Airtel strategy and local business needs
- Institutionalize periodic identification and prioritization of AM IT Action(s) via regular review of business requirements and operational risks;
- Periodic but frequent communication of IT plans to the rest of the business.
- Contribute to the success of the business as a member of the § Operational Leadership Team
- Supervision on All AM / Merchants Standard integration and support
3. Ensure that all the Government and Third party Partners Integrated Systems work and deliver the intended purpose;
- Design, facilitate and lead different business units internally and externally to ensure delivery of Government and Third party Partners Integrated Systems and projects.
- Responsible for the overall operations of all the Government integrated systems and infrastructure.
- Overall Government and Third-party Partners Integrated Systems operations, maintenance & monitoring
- Systems Management – Day to day systems management, performance monitoring, utilization monitoring and database optimization.
- Capacity planning and management.
- Incident handling and escalations.
- Ensure Continuous Service with high availability and minimum disruption in line with performance targets and internal SLA requirements
- Manage change management as per the guiding policies.
- Supplier & Contractor Management for the Government and Third-party Partners Integrated Systems.
- To ensure adequate controls and security is in place in all Government and Third-party Partners Integrated System’s core elements and the business is protected
4. Ensure Stability and Reliability of Critical Systems & Operations;
- Working with relevant partner(s), design, build and maintain a fully available and resilient IT infrastructure with adequate DR provisions to support business continuity and high service availability;
- Ensure continuous availability, reliability and performance of Airtel Tanzania’s Information Systems, Data Centre Facilities, and all System related to Airtel Money Platform
- Minimize potential risk to the attainment of business objectives by proactively planning and providing adequate infrastructure capacity and information systems capabilities- end-to-end;
- Manage Information Security/Risk
5. Manage Partner Relationship;
- Manage the AM Partner(s) & ensure service delivery to agreed quality and SLA
- Ensure value delivery to Airtel Tanzania by maintaining oversight of related managed services;
- Ensure continuous alignment of IT actions with Business Imperatives – Ensure partner(s) develop and target IT capabilities towards high impact business initiatives
6. IT Cost Management;
- Manage the AM, BI, TRA, TCRA, PRETUPS IT OPEX and CAPEX and ensure all spend/investments are in line with approved AOP
7. Manage Timely Rollout of Projects / Governance;
- Ensure appropriate Governance mechanisms for Airtel Tanzania’s Technology Architecture, information assets, projects, infrastructure, applications and IT processes;
- Oversee the formulation and implementation of appropriate information management policies and procedures;
- On-schedule, on-budget delivery of IT solutions to facilitate commercial products and services through effective management of IT projects and/or programs
Academic and Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Computer Science , Computer Engineering or any other IT Related Field. Possession of an advanced degree and / or an MBA will be desirable
- Professional qualification/certification in Database Management/ Reporting systems/ Programming/ Project Management Techniques and related disciplines.
- 5 -7+ years with a minimum of 2 years in management role preferably within the IT/Telecoms industry.
- Experience on delivering multiple complex projects and institutionalizing IT Process is Key
- Telecom experience is desirable
- Strong understanding of all aspects of payments ecosystem, product life cycles and relationship management.
