LEGAL OFFICER
Responsible for ensuring the organization operates within legal frameworks, safeguarding its rights and interests while providing expert legal advice, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- A degree in Law or a relevant field (or equivalent) is required, along with certifications and membership in professional organizations (e.g. School of Law).
- Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a legal setting.
Responsibilities
Legal Advisory Services
- Provide legal advice to ensure compliance with laws, analyze risks, and propose solutions to minimize liabilities.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with company policies and statutory requirements.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Monitor regulatory changes, advise management, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings and manage external counsel for litigation matters.
Corporate Governance
- Support the board and senior management in governance matters and ensure timely submission of statutory documents.
