Kilimanjaro Cement Company Limited is a new entrant into the Tanzanian market. Launched in June 2017 and in order to meet its business needs, we are looking for the following personnel to be based at Tanga.

Shortlisted candidates who are from Tanga / Arusha region would be interviewed in Tanga. Candidates from other regions would be interviewed in Dar es Salaam.

Manager Production Responsibilities:
• The production manager is responsible for driving efficiency of the plant and increases production by driving efficiency in each section. Needs to meet the production targets and also reduce cost of production through efficiency building.
• Identify and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and assessment of resource requirements.
• Data analysis like straight-through analysis, defeat analysis, problem-solving skills and bringing issues to logical conclusion.
• Production manager is to manage production performance, and awareness of, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards is preferred
• Lead the production Cost & Delivery (PCD) Performance
• Follow QCD Initiatives: set targets, implement plans, track daily results, and make appropriate adjustments in resource planning in order to attain desired results.
• Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with HSE standards: interfere with production line in case of safety risks and drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomics
• Ensure process audits of in-house manufacturing processes.
• Continuously achieving Manpower efficiency deployed
• Knowledge of Cement Quality protocols and added advantage
• Use knowledge, skill & technical expertise to ensure rated capacity utilization of Raw Mill, Kiln and the Cement Mill so as to be cost-efficient.
• Should ensure that safety & quality standards are maintained as per ISO & Other specifications
• To formulate and review production strategy to meet business requirements in terms of Volume,
• Quality & Cost for Plant in compliance with the Business Plans.
• To create a roadmap with time-bound milestones for achieving production excellence at the plant
• To provide the necessary guidance and inputs to facilitate the development of the next level
• Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule and manpower allocation
• Prepare, Coordinate and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations
• Working out the human and material resources needed
• Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QMS,
• Drafting a timescale for the job
• Plan predictive maintenance and regular maintenance schedules
• Executive experience of maintenance, operation, and production of Cement Manufacturing
• To plan & execute Planned Maintenance, condition based maintenance in area under control.
• To plan & arrange the spares for maintenance with existing stock or new procuring minimum inventory
• To interact with other departments like Elec., Mech., Mines, Lab and purchase for implementation of the above jobs.
• To work for reduction in cost for spares, reduction in power consumption
• To analyze the root cause of a breakdown and take necessary corrective measure to avoid the repetition.
