Factory Manager (K4) - 1 Position
Job Purpose
To develop Mill’s manufacturing strategy with a view towards long term growth, optimal efficiency and sustainability. Ensure production targets are met by delivering on manufacturing and packing plan as part of S&OP while managing budget and achieving cost synergies.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Contribute to business strategy development, goals, and KPIs
- Align manufacturing performance across disciplines to meet business goals and KPIs
- Plan and set shift, daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets with the team
- Identify and address areas of loss, waste, or flow barriers to drive improvements
- Drive performance management, rewarding strong performance and managing consequences
- Promote operational and maintenance excellence, optimizing profitability through informed decisions
- Collaborate with group counterparts to identify and embed optimization opportunities
- Ensure alignment with commercial requirements and drive effective supply-side planning
- Plan and manage capital projects to meet economic and community outcomes
- Implement continuous improvement practices, ensuring tools and techniques are applied
- Ensure effective team communication processes for stable operations and sustained performance
- Build leadership talent through coaching, mentoring, and guidance
- Adhere to company policies, including SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
Job Qualification and Experience
- Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Science Degree or equivalent
- Business / Financial qualification would be an advantage
- 10 years in Manufacturing (production and/or maintenance)
- Good business acumen and manufacturing expertise with ability to anticipate, interpret and respond to changes impacting on functional area
- Strong track record in management and leadership

The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
