The aim is to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. In Tanzania, it was officially established in 2005 and our efforts work towards creating an environment where children’s rights are protected and sustainable development of communities through empowerment, leadership, and ownership.
Good Neighbors Tanzania is looking for individuals to join our highly motivated team in the following role;
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Reports to: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Dar es Salaam
Contract Duration: October-December, 2019
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of organization projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and Evaluate project activities of Fukayosi, Madale, Kigamboni, Nambizo, and Shitunguru
- Coordinating and conducting Baseline, midline, Endline survey and Impact Evaluation for community development Projects (CDPs)
- Collect data regularly and enter into CDPs Database for data visualization and analysis in child sponsorship, education and WASH projects
- Harmonize M&E framework, indicators, activities, analysis, reporting, and data visualization
- Conduct supportive supervision in the project site to assess the progress of activities and provide technical advice
- Assist other departments in building capacity of operation/ project officers on planning, monitoring, and evaluation
- Identify gaps in data quality issues and proactively decide the best approach to solve such as data quality Assessment, Build capacity of project officers in data quality issues.
- Design data collection tools, Performance M&E plan, and other related M&E guidelines
- Document best practices and success stories
- Maintain a holistic and detailed understanding of program work as well as opportunities for expansion.
Qualification, experiences, and competencies
- Bachelor Degree; Community Development, Development Studies, Health Information System, International Relations, Public Health or equivalent
- At least 2 years of work experience in Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation
- Proficiency in evaluation design, development of indicators and targets, report writing, data analysis using Ms. Excel, SPSS, STATA etc.
- Knowledge of Project Cycle Management, Humanitarian Principles, and cultural awareness.
- Problem-solving skills, creativity and innovative strategies in decision making
- Flexibility.
