PCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing diseases, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. With support from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), PCI Tanzania will be implementing the final phase of Food for Education (FFE) programming in the Mara region (2017-2021). The goal of the program is to improve literacy among primary school students, and increased use of health and dietary practices, empower women etc.

In line with programmes objectives, growth and sustainability, PCI wishes to attract talents and professionals to help run the programme.

 

 

Job Summary:

 

Project Concern International (PCI) is a non-profit organization with a mission to empower people to enhance health, end hunger and overcome hardship. Our vision is that the most vulnerable people in the world will have the power to lift themselves out of poverty and will create vital, healthy lives for their families and communities now and in the future. PCI, in partnership with Butiama district, is implementing a two-year (2017-2019) school feeding program on local procurement project called Chakula Chetu funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Chakula will provide daily school meals to 16,135 students in 16 schools located in Butiama District in the Mara Region of Tanzania, using locally purchased foods, and will foster a network of stakeholders (market actors, schools, parents, farmers, and communities) to build sustainable capacity for a transition to locally-led school feeding
