Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Projects Lead, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating assigned donor-funded projects. The Project Manager coordinates, monitors, and facilitates the activities of all donor-funded projects assigned. They develop, monitor, evaluate, implement, and review the effectiveness of donor project plans, strategies, policies, and activities in line with the project's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Design:
- Conduct situational analysis with the Research Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) team before proposal development and develop frameworks before project implementation.
- Support the Projects Lead in developing proposals, including identifying and submitting relevant prospect calls for proposals.
- Develop relationships and partnerships with stakeholders such as donors, other NGOs, LGAs, and relevant ministries.
- Ensure projects have clear targets and indicators for reporting and support the implementation of the PSS model and capacity building for LGAs.

Planning Process Coordination:
- Prepare project work plans and update them quarterly through review meetings.
- Share project work plans with stakeholders to ensure clarity on the timing and content of specific activities.
- Organize demand generation activities to increase the number of clients visiting the PSS facilities.

Implementation Coordination:
- Coordinate with other departments/partners through monthly meetings to strengthen project implementation.
- Provide monthly project spending reports for tracking against approved donor budgets.
- Prepare narrative and financial review reports in a timely manner according to the project reporting calendar.

Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all project documents, ensuring both soft and hard copies are safely stored.
- Supervise appropriate data collection during implementation for accurate data analysis and quality reporting for donors.
- Prepare project reports that answer all set project targets and indicators.

Project Appraisal Process:
- Prepare and conduct dissemination/consultation/presentation meetings to share lessons learned and best practices.
- Represent Marie Stopes Tanzania and the project to stakeholders.
- Work with the External Communication team to publish project-related articles and conduct media events.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social sciences (MPH, epidemiology, sociology, community development, etc.). Candidates without a master’s degree will be considered if they have at least six (6) years of demonstrated experience as a project manager.
Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the project management cycle, Log Frame Analysis, work planning, reporting, and Results-Based Management tools.
- Experience in inclusive programming and public sector support/strengthening is an added advantage.
- Experience with Public Sector Support, BCC/IEC programs, and managing creative agencies.
- Experience working with USAID-funded projects is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in project/business management.
- Experience setting up and closing projects, managing youth, IEC, and BCC-related activities.
- Experience in preparing and monitoring project work plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Financial management experience of donor-funded projects.
- Experience working with Government Authorities and collaborating with other NGOs/CSOs.
- Experience documenting lessons learned/success stories and best practices.
