Job Purpose
The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for running the stores including stock control, importations, TRA and Clearing. He/ She will also need to interact with the accounts system to produce the LPO's, goods received and authorise payment.
Job Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field
- 2 years' working experience
- Prepare LPO's in the system
- Receipt all good into the system
- Ensure efficient operation of the purchasing department in all aspects
- Establish written approval for minimum/maximum stock levels by accounts team
- Approve all additional requests for new storeroom items, checking correct item description, unit, packing, category, and establishes min/max estimated stock levels
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Active listening and paying attention to details
