Room to Read is a global organization from the lives of little children in low-income countries by focusing literacy gender equality in education.  founded in 2000 orderly that would change starts with educated children, our innovative model focuses on deep, systematic transformation within schools in low-income countries during two time period which are most critical child’s schooling, early primary school, for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girl’s education. we work in collaboration with the local communities, partner organization, and government, to develop literacy skills in the habit of reading among primary school children and ensure girls can complete secondary school with skills necessary to negotiate key life decisions. by focusing on the quality of education provided to the community and ensuring these outcomes are measured we've created a model that can be replicated localized and sustained by governments. Room to Read has benefited 10 million children across 17,000 communities in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, South Africa, India, Laos, Srilanka and Tanzania and aims to reach 15 million children by 2020.

Position: RME Associate

Location - Dar es Salaam Region

Position Overview

The Research, Monitoring & Evaluation (RM&E) Associate primary responsibilities will include providing technical expertise working with program and operation teams to support our research, monitoring and evaluation systems. The position will report directly to the RME Officer and will have regular interaction with all country staff.  The successful incumbent will be based on a specific contract and the position will be based in the country office located in Dar-es-salaam but will require frequent travel to all areas where room to read operates.

Excellent knowledge, understanding and experience of operation research and leading current monitoring and evaluation strategy.
effectiveness in working overland tiering in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional non-governmental organization that is focused on maintaining high-quality work and low overhead.
