Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) is a national designated Public Postal operator established by Act of Parliament No. 19 of 1993 and became operational on 1st January, 1994. The Corporation is wholly owned by the Government of Tanzania and is dedicated in improving people’s lives. Currently, the Corporation is inviting qualified team players to join the Corporation’s major transformation initiatives and all the following vacancies;

POSITION TITLE: SENIOR MOTOR TRANSPORT OFFICER I (1 POST)

Entry Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Transport Management or its equivalent plus at least two (2) years experience in vehicle management, Certified or Diploma in automobile engineering will be an added advantage. A valid class C driving license.
Should not exceed the age of 35 years.

Duties and responsibilities

i. To control and ensure adequate and proper maintenance of all vehicles including preventive maintenance programs.
ii. To monitor and control maintenance costs and advice on disposal of vehicle with higher
cost of maintenance.
iii. To monitor and control fuel consumption patterns and fuel costs of all vehicles.
iv. To conduct physical check and scrutinize journey authorization sheet.
v. To ensure that all vehicle have valid relevant documents such as insurance and road incidences.
vi. To carry out road patrols to monitor vehicle movements.
vii. To maintain records and scrutinize fuel and repair orders and invoices before passing for payment.
viii. Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Remuneration:

The above post carries competitive remuneration as per Tanzania Posts Corporation salary
structure and incentive package.

Duty station
The Successful candidate will be stationed at Dar es Salaam General Post Office.
