Senior Officer, Monitoring, and Supervision(4 Vacancies – DSM, Mwanza, Mbeya, and Arusha zone)

Nature and Scope

The successful candidate will report to Zonal Manager. He/she will responsible for advising on monitoring and supervision activities related to projects assigned to him/her

Key Responsibilities

1.       Ensure loan documentation is complete and that all conditions precedent are met prior to disbursement of funds.

2.       Ensure loan funds are used by project promoters for purpose approved by the bank

3.       Confirm the technical specifications of the proposed plant and machinery to meet the objectives of the project

4.       Ensure the implementation time schedules are adhered to

5.       Visit projects sites and preparing call reports

6.       Preparing periodic reports on performance of projects and defaulters

7.       Follow up on the payment of all loans

8.       Ensure the security pledged to the bank do not deteriorate

9.       Provide continuous feedback on the performance of borrowers and identify actual or potential problems early so that timely adjustments to project operations can be made.

10.   Ensure operating and financial performance of each project is adequately assessed, early warning signals identified and corrective measures taken in a timely fashion

11.   Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential

1.       Must possess a bachelor degree in business administration, Economic, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Building Economics, Land Management and valuation, Real Estate Studies, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines from a recognized Universit/Institution

2.       Minimum of 5 years experience in financial institution or any reputable institution

3.       Excellent written and communication skills both in English and Kiswahili languages

4.       Analytical and report writing skills

5.       Excellent developed interpersonal and organizational skills

6.       Must be a team player, very self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize workload with minimum supervision

7.       Must be a computer literate

Preferred

1.       Knowledge of project appraisal and financial analysis.

2.       Ability to carry out project monitoring and fund management.

3.       Ability to interpret financial statements

4.       Possession of credit appraisal skills

5.       Knowledge of banking products

6.       Skills in sales and customer services
