JOB PURPOSE
Take a leading role in managing all aspects of Consumer Loan products with the responsibility of Product strategy, management and consumer portfolio P&L.
Developing and strengthening the loan product team while developing the long-term strategic direction for Consumer Loan Products Portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quantify market and customer needs, identify new products and opportunities and develop on a product portfolio marketing strategy.
- Develop and implement consumer loan strategies and tactics to drive portfolio growth.
- Develop strategic full life-cycle product plans necessary to penetrate the various segments and to appropriately respond to competitive products and services
- Obtain consumer loan market share by working with sales team to develop consumer product sales strategies.
- Identify, implement, and manage appropriate product partnerships to drive revenue growth and market penetration for consumer loan products.
- Co-ordinate budget objectives of the consumer loan products to ensure targets are achieved as per the approved budget.
- Actively build the capacity of a customer-facing team including sales and branch network through on-going product campaign and support in order to ensure quality product delivery process
- Drive the rollout of any new product ensuring that implementation happens within the agreed budget and timelines
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiation with appropriate parties relating to consumer loan products and special projects. Lead the team for product development, implementation, pricing and streamlining portfolio in order to improve customer experience, reduce cost-to-serve and maintain competitiveness.
- Manage and lead the team including selection, coaching, performance management, and resource allocation
- Ensure that customer satisfaction for all loan products offered is achieved and provide accurate advice and selling in line with customers’ expectations.
- Develop time-integrated plans with sales and marketing teams.
- Maintain relationships with other senior executives in areas that may impact consumer loan product management, such as: Payment and Accounts, Credit team, Consumer Banking, Loan Centre and Marketing.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver and maintain profitable consumer loan solutions that meet the needs of our clients, ensure revenue growth, market penetration, and financial goals are met.
- Timely preparation of reports to management and ensure close monitoring of Consumer Loan P&L
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Sound understanding of bank’s loan products, policies, and procedures
- A detailed understanding of loan product offerings in the wider financial services industry.
- A detailed knowledge of NMB strategy and policies
- Knowledge of pricing and fee structure applied in consumer loan products
- In-depth understanding of the latest technologies/innovations applied to consumer banking.
- Excellent communication, presentation, credit, product development, business management, leadership,
- Coaching and Team building skills.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
- A holder of first degree or its equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business administration, banking and or its equivalent
- Eight years of relevant experience
