Position: Supply Chain and Procurement Officer

Position Overview:
The Supply Chain and Procurement Officer will play a leadership role in executing effective and efficient supply chain and procurement services. This role requires ensuring values and competencies in maintaining transparency, integrity, and compliance with established rules and regulations. The officer will be responsible for all procurement, warehouse, logistics, and shipping activities, focusing on cost control, improving efficiency, and ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Assist with the daily activities of the procurement department.
- Plan for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Monitor and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Review, compare, evaluate, and approve products and services.
- Manage inventories and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain and update supplier information.
- Maintain good supplier relations.
- Negotiate contracts.
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
- Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
Logistics and Asset Management:
- Take full responsibility for assets and inventory management of all expendable and non-expendable items under projects.
- Facilitate customs clearance of imported supplies, materials, equipment, and/or vehicles.
- Plan and execute warehouse-related resource planning and efficiency to meet the anticipated company goals.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and transfer operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of items off-loaded and/or loaded at the warehouses. Keep updated records on stack/stock cards and/or computer inventory lists.
- Observe, enforce, and comply with safety requirements.
Fleet Management:
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress and analysis reports on the status and allocation of company vehicles, including hired vehicles.
- Prepare fuel utilization reports.
- Manage tires and batteries utilization.
- Ensure all legal requirements such as inspection certificates and insurance certificates for vehicles are acquired on time.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in similar positions, preferably in the Telecommunication Industry.
