Internship Purpose
- The Write-Off Evaluation Intern is responsible for Bad Debt management. This includes among others calling 180-day bad debt customers as per assigned portfolio.
- Through calls, they are responsible for validating the reachability status of customers before the write-off decision.
Responsibilities
- Conducting calls to customers with portfolio existence of more than 180 days since their last payment.
- Documentation of all evaluation calls appropriately in the loan workout cases - comment explaining the situation and next action.
- To escalate all potential write-off cases to the Repossession and Write-Off Evaluation Officer
- Working independently on defined tasks and smaller projects identified jointly with the Head of CF or Team Leader, to help realize the department's objective.
- Completing assigned tasks in line with applicable policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Contributing ideas for the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) of the department, especially where directly applicable to assigned tasks.
- Seeking opportunities to learn and develop within ENGIE Mobisol UK Ltd. and through training.
- Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the line management from time to time.
Requirements
Experience:
- Good understanding of Credit principles.
- Previous experience in a business dealing with loans.
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- Computer literacy, particularly good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using data analysis tools.
- Behavioral flexibility – eager to learn, problem-solving, creativity, etc.
- Fluency in the English and Kiswahili languages
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Banking or Finance or Economics or any other related field
