PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS OFFICER
INDUSTRY: AGROCHEMICALS
HR World Limited on behalf of our client we are looking for a competent Procurement and Logistics Officer with experience in Agrochemicals products.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
- The Procurement & Logistics Officer will ensure all sub-contracts, consultancy, service contracts and purchase orders awarded by the company are in compliance with Practical Action’s Procurement Policy, rules and regulations.
- Participate in monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs.
- Assist in maintaining and tracking vendors’ contractual agreements on an annual basis
- Receive, review and process incoming requests ensuring sufficient clarity on specifications given for goods and services.
- Confirm any other relevant information from requestors.
- Coordinate and ensure that all the company's related purchases are reviewed and approved in accordance with the purchase authorization thresholds.
- Ensure proper servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles, in accordance with the standards. Any irregularities should be reported to the Supervisor.
- Ensure records are kept for mileage driven/fuel added and the vehicle log book maintained, including for rented vehicles.
- Fuel consumption tracking and reporting implemented and responsibility for/supervision of fueling at all times.
- Collaborate with Logistics staff in other offices to organise transport of goods between sites as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain or related field.
- At least 4+ years of relevant work experience as a procurement officer in a similar position
- PSPTB certified.
- Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meeting deadlines.
- An experienced team player who meets and exceeds team goals.
- Self-motivated, positive, and willing to travel.
