Business Development Officer

Location: Dar es salaam & Mwanza – Tanzania

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the markets.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase loan sales and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to clients on loan products, eligibility criteria, and the application process.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, including loan disbursement goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (underwriting, credit, and operations) to ensure smooth loan processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders about loan offerings.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address concerns or inquiries promptly.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to loans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management in Financial Institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of car loans (or similar financial products).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
