Key Responsibilities

Support the senior public relations officer in executing public relations strategies and campaigns.
Gather and analyse data on public perception and media coverage.
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.
Prepare and distribute press releases and other communication materials to the media.
Participate in the planning and execution of public relations campaigns to promote products and services.
Monitor media coverage and report on public relations activities.
Assist in the creation of communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
Ensure that all materials align with the organization’s brand messaging.
Work closely with other members of the marketing and sales team to support public relations initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Foster effective communication and teamwork within the department.
Keep up to date with changes in public relations trends, regulations, and best practices.
Assist in identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in public relations efforts.
Engage in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in public relations strategies and tools.
Stay updated on changes in public relations trends and best practices.
Perform any other lawful duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Practical working experience in public relations roles within reputable organizations, preferably in the sugar industry, will be an added advantage.
