Access Network Specialist

SimbaNET (T) Limited is part of the Wananchi Group and one of East Africa’s leading data and Internet service providers.

We are looking for an Access Network Specialist who will be responsible in all technical operations. He/she will be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager

Key Roles:

• Oversee infrastructure field work, design, planning, construction, expansions, roll out, optimization and timely proactive maintenance in strict adherence to turnaround times (TAT) and service level agreement (SLAs) in infrastructure projects, service delivery and service restoration.
• Work closely with internal departments i.e. support, retention and business development teams for timely retention, network expansion in driving business expectations and growth.
• Champion quality control (QC) ensuring subscriber installation, subscriber maintenance and network maintenance is implemented efficiently and with strict adherence to the TAT and SLA.

Experience:

• 3 Years of relevant field experience in the telecom industry, with excellent communication skills.
• Certifications such, CNA, Network A+, CCNP, JNCIA, Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) and Project Management & execution.
• Hands-on and conversant with design,implementation and troubleshooting of IP/MPLS as well as Fiber,Wireless andVSAT access technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bsc.Telecom Engineering.
• Advanced Diploma in Information Technology.
