TJL Company Ltd is a registered company which deals with transportation business. It owns a fleet of trucks for transporting cargo across Tanzania. The company now is looking for an Accountant to support Managing Director in handling day to day accounting and financial issues.

The main duties and responsibilities shall be to:

• Regular perform accounting transactions such as debit/credit notes, payroll transfers, cash outflows, and cash management
• Regular reconciliation of the TJL Company Ltd accounts
• Ensuring a control system of TJL Company Ltd funds and liquidities
• Preparation of payments for services and other payables due
• Preparation of payroll
• Preparation of payments of national security funds such as NSSF
• Production and distribution of financial reports and supporting documents
• Ensuring the financial document management system is current and properly maintained (opening, closing, classification, access control, circulation, filing)
• Preparation of budget and ensuring effective tracking, verification, and reporting of budget variances
• Performing cash flow management by ensuring payment of invoices and expense accounts and ordering of materials and office supplies
• Assist in the audit of the TJL Company Limited Financial Statements
• Performance of any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Director

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is a must
• A holder of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate
• Good knowledge of financial and accounting IT systems
• At least two years’ experience in the accounting field
• Candidates with experience in transportation/logistics will be given an added advantage
