Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for providing financial advice and support to management. He/she is responsible for establishing and maintaining financial systems as well as ensuring Branch’s compliance with all regulatory requirements with all local laws and Samsung’s financial procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Develop and present financial reports to enhance management decision making processes;
- Support management by providing business advice to budget holders as needs including financial modeling, scenario planning, detailed investigation of cost drivers and benchmarking;
- Responsibility of Branch accruals and prepayments, posting journals, fixed assets, variance analysis, funding and reporting.
Budgeting
- Develop and present financial reports to enhance management decision making processes;
- Support management by providing business advice to budget holders as needs including financial modeling, scenario planning, detailed investigation of cost drivers and benchmarking;
- Responsibility of accruals and prepayments, posting journals, fixed assets, variance analysis, full P&L and Balance sheet and reporting.
Compliance Management
- Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times;
- Ensure that the company complies with the tax and reporting regulations of the various countries in which it is involved;
- Ensure that the appropriate levels of insurance are adhered to by the company;
- Ensure the procurement of assets is done in a cost-effective manner;
- Provide market intelligence reports with regards to trends, benchmarking, competitor comparison measurements;
- Recommend process and systems improvement to enhance quality and efficiency within the business;
- Prepare periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.) management and ad hoc reports.
Operations Management
- Maintain day-to-day financial control of all expenditure to ensure that all business units stay within budget
- Maintain appropriate relations with all stakeholders and provide required reports as to ensure compliance with the financial terms and conditions of all contracts;
- Support the Country Leader to manage the Branch operations on all administrative issues

Knowledge; Skills and Experience required for this Role:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Finance/Accounting from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Professional Certification e.g. ACCA
- Experience in providing financial reports to senior management;
- Experience with computerized accounting system;
- Advanced skills in MS-Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
