POSITION OVERVIEW:
This is a full-time on-site role. An accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The Accountant will also support the finance team in financial analysis, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Working experience of at least 3 years in Finance and/or accounting.
- Strong background in finance and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of fixed assets and inventory management.
- Experience in managing financial statements, performing analytical tasks, and handling journal entries (Accounting).
- Professional Accountancy qualifications (CPA) is an added advantage.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of Accounting Software and ERP is an added advantage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting:
- Booking transactions in the accounting system.
- File and classify supporting documents.
- Manage bank reconciliation and other standard tasks.
- Cash and inventory reconciliation.
- Determine cut-off transactions for accurate closing.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Establish the annual financial statements with the external auditor.
- Monitor payments to creditors/banks.
- Examine financial records to check for accuracy.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes and prepare statements of accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and yearly forecast budgets.
Tax and Legal:
- Ensuring permanent legal and fiscal follow-up.
- Analyzing and interpreting tax legislation.
- Engaging with a tax advisor.
- Prepare and review tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policy and regulations.
- Assist in tax and customs inspection.
- Ensure tax and customs compliance.
- Reconcile tax returns and financial statements.
- Ensure taxes are paid on time with all receipts and swift copies attached.
- Ensure all documents are tax compliant.
- Prepare and send tax reporting to HQ.
