Purpose of the Position

Supporting the finance department and the management by completing the regular accounting tasks of the company.

Job Description

• Prepare, examine payroll, financial statements and other financial reports for accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting standards.
• Register new employees with NSSF benefits. And Prepare Monthly TRA, NSSF, WCF and other statutory returns
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounts and finance documentation and keep track of creditors and debtors
• Calculate provisional tax and revise as necessary, maintain finance files and assist audits while ensuring accurate and timely recording of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
• Carry out financial analysis of the company operations to inform decisions.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets
• Preparing periodic management reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs and variances.
• Update accounts receivable and payable lists and conduct debtors and creditors analysis.
• Compute all relevant taxes, prepare and file tax returns to ensure compliance with all statutory authorities.
• Compute, make payment and submit all relevant statutory return

Qualifications

• Tanzanian citizenship
• Bachelor degree from a recognized institution in accounts, finance or another related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in accounts and finance.
• High knowledge of IT will be an added advantage
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
• Experience with construction industry
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills that effect positive change
