About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance / Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and supervising other areas within the Finance Department under the direction of the Director of Finance / Assistant Director of Finance, including payroll, accounts payable, and general cashiering in accordance with all related local and corporate policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the month-end process, including preparing financial statements, accruals, journal entries, and maintaining reconciliations for all balance sheet and bank accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and resolving discrepancies in reconciliations.
  • Perform daily, monthly, and periodic financial reporting accurately and on time.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts, ensuring valuation accuracy, and safeguarding cash assets through reconciliations and audits.
  • Manage payroll data, address discrepancies, handle garnishments, and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
  • Assist with month-end adjustment entries, prepare documentation for internal and external audits, and conduct compliance audits for payroll and labor laws.
  • Cross-train across finance functions to provide coverage during absences.
  • Manage credit policies, including billing, credit histories, and collections, while ensuring prompt and professional handling of guest and credit inquiries.
  • Secure hotel assets during check-in and check-out processes without burdening guests.
  • Develop strong client relationships to facilitate efficient collections and communication.
  • Organize monthly credit meetings, maintain compliance documentation on service charges and gratuities, and manage labor compliance audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Support the finance team with additional tasks assigned by leadership while upholding corporate guidelines and fostering operational efficiency.

What You Bring

  • 3-4 years of experience as an Accounting Manager in a luxury hotel.
  • Expertise in Taxation and local revenue authority.
