JOB PURPOSE

The Accounts Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the financial needs of the legal team.

PREFERRED EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Banking or related fields

Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Articled Auditor in a reputable audit firm. At least 2 years of experience in a banking role, demonstrating a sound knowledge of banking operations.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends. Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate closely with the Legal Department to provide financial insights, analysis, and support for legal projects and initiatives.
Manage financial transactions and processes related to legal matters, including tracking expenses, preparing invoices, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
Conduct thorough financial reviews of legal cases and projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Work closely with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary financial documentation and support.
