Responsible for:
- Organising travel arrangements (flights, accommodation, etc) for staff and consultants, including liaising with our internal travel agent
- Preparing and submitting visa applications for staff and consultants
- Organising second passports/passport renewals for staff
- Supporting the copying editing, formatting and distribution of project documents
- Supporting the preparation of project bids and proposals
- Preparing presentations for internal meetings
- Maintaining up-to-date project files (paper and electronic using SharePoint)
- Completing e-Forms and other tasks as required under our internal Business Management System
- Supporting the financial management of projects, for example by checking consultants’ invoices and staff expense claims
Additionally, the Project Administrator will be required to:
- Be engaged with the process of continuous improvement and seeking ways of increasing efficiency
- Demonstrate behaviours which emulate our PRIDE values
- Accept other tasks and responsibilities which may reasonably be requested by their line manager or the Project Manager / Operations Manager.
Candidate Specification
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or environment
- Proficient in using MS packages, particularly Word, Excel (for formatting and manipulating data)
- Full attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility and team working skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan and organise own work
- Good numeracy skills
- Patience and ability to remain calm under pressure
Job Profile
Shule Bora aims to improve the quality of pre-primary and primary schools in Tanzania. There are four main outcomes: improving learning outcomes for all children, improving transition rates to secondary schools for girls, ensuring children are safe in and around schools, and helping children with disabilities access quality education. If successful, Cambridge Education will design and implement Shule Bora in Tanzania over 6 years – March 2021 – March 2027.
