Kahama Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (KUWASA) is a full autonomous public entity established with the water work Act (Cap 272).which has been replaced with the water supply and sanitation AcL2009. The authority was established to operate reliable, affordable and sustainable water supply and sanitation services in Kahama Town. As a result of the expansion of the existing distribution network, that has also made a substantial increase of customer base. KUWASA wishes to recruit compe­tent Tanzanians to Ml the following vacant posts

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER – SYSTEMS DEVELOPER/ PROGRAMMER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER –

APPOINTING AUTHORITY: MANAGING DIRECTOR

EMPLOYMENT TERMS : 3 YEARS CONTRACT

REPORTS TO: HEAD OF ICT

SALARY SCALE: KWSS11A

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in computer science/ Computer engineering/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Management Information Systems or equivalent qualifications Age limit 25- 35

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development of Software applications
• Codes and debug applications in various languages,
• Analyze user requirements In relation to IT development and review software
• Identifies code metrics, system risk, and software reliability;
• Integrates Main software with other systems:
• Conducts software testing, modeling simulation and quality assurance;
• Executes day – to – day maintenance and support of the software In use:
• Compiles and writes documentation of developed software;
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the head of section from time to time.
