Job Title: Associate Credit & Investment Officer (1 Position)

Contract type: Fixed Term (Renewable Contract)

Location: Dar es Salaam

Reporting to: Head Trading and Investment 

Job Summary

The ideal candidate must have experience in short term trade financing products such as invoice discounting, Letter of Credit financing, Bill of exchange, and trade loans. 

Qualification and Skills

• Minimum of Diploma in Finance, Marketing, or Related Field.
• Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer or similar role is an added advantage.
• Excellent Computer skills, MS Office in particular.
• Fluency in the English and Kiswahili languages is required.
• Effective coordinator.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to be flexible, use initiative and problem solver.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist borrowers and Investors in registration.
• Analyze active loan files on a regular basis and recommend solutions to speed up the loan process.
• Complete loan and investment contracts and support borrowers and investors to understand terms and conditions, policies and various regulations governing use of the platform.
• Interrogate Borrowers’ cashflows and advise them on the appropriate trade financing instrument and tenor.
• Monitor and update account records.
• Periodic review of borrowers’ performance on the platform and timely incorporating emerging information that may affect creditworthiness of the borrowers.
• Assess and assign credit scores to borrowers.
• Respond to applicants' questions and resolve any Investment and loan-related issues.
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations. Follow up with clients about loan renewals and payments.
• Record and report on lessons learned to support process improvement and customer experience.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
