Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities

Role Purpose:

The Business Analyst: External Affairs will support the External Affairs (EA) function by providing data-driven insights, project management oversight, and high-quality reporting to drive strategic decision-making. The role will focus on Corporate Social Investment (CSI), stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth execution of EA initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly and periodic reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Consolidates reports and presentations both for External Affairs; prepares board packs for the Foundation, and reports for Social Ethics Committee and Vodacom Group ESG and Reputation Committee
  • Conduct research and analysis on regulatory trends, industry developments, and public policy shifts affecting the company. Prepare high-quality briefing documents, position papers, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributes to and compliments team effort by accomplishing related results as needed including internal communications, government relations and Vodacom Foundation
  • Track and evaluate the impact of CSI programs and ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment with Purpose. Assist in the preparation of CSI reports and compliance documentation as required.

Qualification, Core competencies, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Project Management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Corporate Social Investment (CSI), public affairs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Public speaking skills with a good command of the Kiswahili and English language
