Overview
Research Triangle Institute (RTI) is an independent non-profit research institute dedicated to improving the human condition with over 30 years’ experience assisting governments, communities, and the private sector in managing their environment and natural resources. We are looking for candidates to fill new positions in the recently awarded USAID-funded Tuhifadhi Maliasili Activity. The goal of the project is to address dynamics that hinder habitat connectivity and the long-term persistence of biodiversity in Tanzania. The positions will be based in Dar, Tanzania with some travel required to the project areas.
Capacity Building Specialist
The candidate will work closely with public and private stakeholders and partner organizations to build their internal capacity
Skills & Abilities:
- Master’s degree in conservation, ecosystem management, natural resources management, environmental science or related field with a minimum of 6 years working experience or Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related working experience.
- Experience working with counterparts at various levels of government, private sector leaders, local organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Experience conducting training needs assessment (TNA) and implementing capacity building trainings
- Proficiency in English is required
