Tanzania Teachers’ Union (TTU), which operates in Tanzania Mainland only. is a registered trade Union that recruits its members from the teaching profession and it has full-time staff in every region. In Order to improve its Services to its members, the Union seeks to recruit dedicated, self-motivated, highly committed and well-experienced staff to fill the following vacancies based at its headquarters in Dar es Salaam:-

CASHIER -1 POST 1

Overall purpose

Cashier plays an important role in any Organization because needs to interact with Customers on daily basis for solving queries and handling money.

Duties and responsibilities

Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits
Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to Customers
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is an adequate change
Prepare daily report on the transaction done per day
Record and maintain all transactions completely and correctly to match the bank procedures
Performing specialized jobs like cashier’s check preparation, traveler’s check, issuing exchange of foreign currency and personal money Orders.
Ability to use electronically Scanners, cash registers and related equipment
Keeps periodic balance sheets of amount and numbers of transactions
Sort count and wrap currency and coins
Pay Company bills by cash, vouchers or checks
Checkingdailycashaccounts
Maintaining monthly, weekly and daily report of the transaction

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma in Account
Proficient in Computer skills and use of relevant accounting packages
Teachers with qualifications mentioned under this post are highly encouraged to apply.

General Requirements

Maximum age for an applicant shall be 45 years old.
Applications should be accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a maximum of three printed pages and certified and scanned copies of the Academic Certificates
