Job Purpose
The role holder will be responsible with handling public relations, information output, and media requests. He/ She will also plan social media campaigns or advertising efforts for the foundation, Overall, he/she will ensure the foundation has excellent and effective advertising whenever a campaign is in the works as well as create engaging content for various platforms across social media to assist in growing an audience and promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our foundation's behalf.
Job Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in communications, social media management or public relations
- Proven social media and networking expertise Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing
- Experience in Social Media Management and IT background
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), photo and video-editing software experience is an asset
- Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players.
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
- Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc
- Planning and initiating communications and promotional campaigns
- Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation
