JSI is currently recruiting for a Deputy Chief of Party for a possible position with the USAID-funded Tanzania Comprehensive Client-Centered Health Program – HIV and Tuberculosis Activity (C3HP-HIV/TB). The purpose of the project will be to support the Government of Tanzania’s (GOT) Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) and the President’s Office-Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) at the central level and in target regions to deliver high-quality integrated HIV and TB prevention care and treatment services that will improve health outcomes, particularly for youth and children. C3HP-HIV/TB will increase the demand for and use of quality integrated HIV and tuberculosis services in target regions by improving access to quality services in both facilities and the surrounding communities, promoting positive health-seeking behaviors among Tanzania’s populace, and enhancing the overall policy environment for HIV/TB service delivery. Should JSI be the successful bidder, this will be a full-time position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Deputy Chief of Party will be responsible for contributing to the technical requirements of the project, ensuring the fulfillment of project deliverables. The anticipated award date is open. The Deputy Chief of Party will report to the Chief of Party.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all HIV/TB activities in facilities and communities;
- Promote and engage effective collaboration and coordination across project components and key stakeholders;
- Ensure quality prevention, care, and treatment services are provided by the project;
- Contribute to knowledge capture and dissemination of key learnings to project partners; and
- Encourage the conduct of innovative operational/implementation studies and activities as appropriate to complement project core activities and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s degree in public health or medical degree;
- 10+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and managing HIV/TB projects of similar scope and size with preferred experience in Tanzania;
- Demonstrated experience in managing HIV/TB prevention programs that provide quality care and treatment;
- Demonstrated skills in project reporting, preferably related to PEPFAR-funded programs;
- Demonstrated experience in program financial oversight and subgrant management; and
- Familiarity with Tanzania’s HIV/TB institutional, policy, and program activities.
Salary commensurate with experience.
