Overview

The Tanzania Official Seed Certification Insitute (TOSCI) is a government entity under the Ministry of Agriculture established under the Seed Act No. 18 of 2003. TOSCI’s Head Quarters is in Morogoro with branches in Arusha, Njombe, Mwanza and Mtwara.

TOSCI is responsible for registration of seed dealers, verification of new crop varieties ofr official release and certification of seeds produced for sale in the county.

Driver II – 3 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive TOSCI Vehicles
• Ensures that vehicles are services to the required standard
• Makes regular checks on the TOSCI vehicles and other machinery
• Maintains log-book for each and every trip/journey made
• Ensures the vehicle is serviced regularly
• Undertakes minor repair/services
• Performs any other duties assigned by the administration

Qualification and Experience

Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) with a valid driving licence class “C” in a relevant category, three years working experience and Trade Test II in auto mechanics, has attended Advanced Driving Course and obtained the Driver Certificate Grade II at the National Institute of Transport or its equivalent and a good interpersonal communication skill.

Remuneration

Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution salary scales: POSS 5
