Job Purpose

The Economic Empowerment Coordinator (Agronomist) will liaise closely with the Head of Programs and with the support from technical specialists to ensure quality project designing, implementation, and management processes of development and empowerment projects. 

Job Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field. 
• A Master's degree in Agriculture is a plus 
• Minimum 2 years of agronomy work experience 
• Relevant experience in project design, implementation, and management processes of development projects, preferably linked to Economic Empowerment 
• In-depth knowledge of soil and crop principles 
• Proficient in MS Office Outstanding research and analytical skills 
• Experience working with NGOs/government in Zanzibar. Hence, a strong understanding of the Zanzibar contexts is an added value. 
• Strong report writing skills 
• Verbal and written communication skills that are clear and concise in both English and Swahili
