POSITION: Environmental, Social & Governance Coordinator (ESG Coordinator)

JOB LOCATION: Morogoro
JOB PURPOSE
The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Coordinator is responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social and corporate governance policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide technical expertise on key issues related to environmental, social & governance impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation, and supervision of the organization's operations taking into consideration best industry practices and standards.
PREFERRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability or any equivalent.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE
- Monitoring and checking emissions in all plant sections for air quality compliance
- Developing and executing corporate sustainability initiatives and strategies.
- Ensuring the company has a positive impact on local communities and the
- environment.
- Developing annual and long-term sustainable development goals. Knowledge in carbon footprint reduction is a plus.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental sustainability, corporate compliance and governance.
- Knowledge and experience in global environmental standards and frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the central contact on ESG topics for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare annual ESG/Sustainability reports
- Ensure systematic and accurate collection and reporting of KPIs, and to proactively identify new KPIs required to meet ESG requirements.
