Position: Field Officer (FEMALE)
Reports To: Human Resource Manager (Interim)
Basic Salary: TZS 1,050,000/=
Other Benefits: Health insurance, airtime, and meals/lunch
Position Overview:
As a Field Officer at Food for His Children (FFHC), you will serve as a key link between our organization and the families we support. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing holistic support to families in rural Tanzania, including case management and community engagement through family visits and community meetings. This position requires travel by motorcycle in remote villages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discipleship: Teach D4D principles and Biblical values to families and participants to help them grow spiritually, understand their purpose, and fulfill their role within their family and community. Demonstrate Christ-like behavior as a role model.
- Case Management: Support families to achieve their goals and grow in alignment with God's purpose for them.
- Prepare monitoring schedules for families, evaluate success indicators, assist families in goal-setting, and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Conduct regular family visits to monitor progress toward goals, the 17 Points of a Healthy Home, goat care, farming practices, and food security. Complete case notes for every visit.
- Coach families on problem-solving, document challenges and successes, and write weekly stories about participants' lives.
- Maintain accurate records and enter family information into the FFHC database for donor relations and reporting. Participate in site meetings to discuss challenges and solutions.
- Assess client needs, coordinate services, and advocate for support to address specific family requirements.
- Conduct family interviews upon enrollment and annual reviews on program anniversaries.
- Develop goal plans for families based on their needs and program requirements.
- Oversee school involvement programs for FFHC families.
- Ensure the formation and regular engagement of savings groups at project sites.
- Ensure all families comply with FFHC contract terms and conditions.
- Participate in assigned departmental work as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Desire to live and lead like Jesus and alignment with FFHC's values and beliefs.
- Diploma or Degree in Community Development, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience in community development, sociology, or social work; minimum 1 year preferred in a similar role.
- Willingness to live and work in a multicultural environment.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Database, and Excel skills.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of public relations, community engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The position requires riding a motorcycle in remote villages of Karatu District as part of daily activities.
- Valid motorcycle driver's license and ability to ride a motorcycle in remote areas. Candidates who do not currently know how to ride a motorcycle must be willing to learn under guidance.
